Something not working, or a question about how covered handles your records? Write to us — a person reads every message.

How to reach us

Email [email protected]. We usually reply within two business days. If your message is about a problem, please include the app version (Settings → About), your device model, and what happened just before — it helps us reproduce things quickly.

Common questions

Where do my records live? In the app’s private storage on your device. There is no Dorenva server and nothing is sent anywhere unless you choose to back up or export.

How does backup work? It’s optional and off by default. When you tap Back up, covered writes your vault into your own cloud account — Google Drive (into the app’s private folder) on both Android and iPhone, or iCloud on iPhone. Only that tap starts a transfer; nothing happens in the background.

I have a new phone — how do I move my vault? Install covered, open Settings, and tap Restore. If you backed up to Drive or iCloud, sign in to the same account and restore from there. You can also restore from an exported backup file using the share sheet.

What happens when a receipt is deleted from my phone? Your copy inside covered stays. That is rather the point: the vault keeps the photos and documents you added, independent of your camera roll.

How do I delete things? Delete any item (with its photos and documents) right in the app, or use Settings → remove all local data. Cloud copies live in your own Drive or iCloud, and you delete them there — uninstalling the app gives you the steps.

Drive or iCloud — which should I pick? Whatever your phone life already revolves around. On Android, Drive is the option; on iPhone you can use either. Both stay within your own account.

Do you have access to my receipts? No. There is no server, no developer copy, and no analytics. We cannot see your documents, and we would not want to.

Reporting a problem

Please describe what you expected, what happened instead, and the exact steps to repeat it. If you can, tap Back up first so your vault is safe while we look into it.
